Museum at Prairiefire Wedding Day
We’re going to admit something right off the bat here. We’re kind of at a loss of words on where to begin with Diana and Ryan’s Museum at Prairiefire wedding day. Not in a bad way. But just because there’s so much that we want to tell you about their big day. So many amazing, super sweet moments that happened. And so much love shared. And we’re kind of having a hard time figuring out where to start.
Because you haven’t gotten to meet Diana and Ryan yet.
We didn’t get to do an engagement session with them. So while we’ve known these two crazy-amazing individuals for over a year now, we have yet to get to introduce them to you. And trust us, these are two awesome people that you want to know. Because they simply ROCK.
So maybe we’ll start there. Diana and Ryan knew each other for YEARS before they finally got together. They didn’t know each other well, but knew of each other. One day, Ryan posted a picture on Facebook. Diana liked it. And then Ryan messaged her. Taking a chance on someone he used to know, but thought was pretty awesome. Both of them will tell you this is their beginning. Because after that? They were together pretty much all the time.
And they just kind of knew that it was meant to be. That they had finally found their other half. Their comic-con buddy. Their partner in crime. The person that would put up with their bad TV choices for the rest of their lives.
You guys, we love love.
Now let’s talk for a minute about Diana and Ryan’s Wedding Day. Because it was crazy-amazing, out of this world.
Why? Well, did you read the title of our blog post? They spent their whole day at the Museum at Prairiefire. With all of that awesome stained glass. And nerdy, sciency exhibits they got to enjoy. All overlooked by the giant T-Rex skeleton. Diana and Ryan will be the first to admit that they’re giant nerds at heart (you should see the AMAZING Christmas cards Ryan designs every year!). And that is one of the big, main reasons they loved Prairiefire so dang much.
So of course, they completely embraced it.
Museum at Prairiefire Wedding Day
Wedding Morning
These two lovebirds spent their morning in side by side rooms, each preparing for the best day of their lives. Sure, Diana got pampered and spent the morning giggling with her sister, cousins, mom and best friends while Ryan and the guys spent their time goofing off and trying to figure out pocket squares. But isn’t that the fun in wedding mornings?
First Look & Portraits
And their first look? Friends…right underneath the T-Rex. Because why not. And it was fan-freaking-tastic. Plus, can we tell you how much fun these two are? You know we love to play during portrait time with our couples. And these two were down for ANYTHING we threw their way. And their wedding party? Some of the best, most supportive people we’ve ever met.
Wedding Ceremony
When it finally came time to get married the whole crew headed to St. Sabina. As soon as she got there Diana shared a private first look with her dad. You guys it was so sweet and so emotional.
And when it was ceremony time? It was just like a fairy tale. The sun came streaming through the stained glass window near the church rafters and this crazy-gorgeous, angelic light filled the sanctuary as Diana walked down the aisle. Pinks and yellows and blues and greens…. Just gorgeous. And it was there for the duration of their ceremony.
Talk about magical.
Wedding Reception
Diana and Ryan and all of their family and friends headed back to the museum for their reception. And what an absolute BLAST it was. You guys, between the crazy-cool light streaming in the stained glass to the AMAZING dinner, and of course all of the fun reception shenanigans, these two had one heck of a night. Garters and bouquets were thrown off the balcony, and these two partied the night away. Like legit partied. These two went down to funky-town with all of their friends.
And when it was all said and done? When their big, year-long-to-plan wedding day was over? Diana and Ryan exited under an arced flurry of bubbles being blown at them.
BEST DAY EVER.
Diana and Ryan – Thank you SO MUCH for letting us document your wedding day! We’ve had an absolute amazing time getting to know you both and can’t thank you enough!
