Candid Engagement Sneak Peek

Friends, meet Kailey and Derrick. These two? They’ve been together since high school and have known each other their whole lives. They went to college together at Mizzou in Columbia, and moved to Kansas City together afterwards. And now? They’re both figuring out the whole working from home together thing, loving on their sweet pup Oscar, and working their way through this whole “pandemic wedding planning” thing we’ve got going on. But amidst all of that life happening, these two took a few hours out of a beautiful fall, Friday evening to focus on loving on each other during their engagement session. 

Talk about a great Friday night. 🙂 

It’s always so fun for us to see how our couples love each other. And Kailey and Derrick? They’ve already got that “old married couple,” I know exactly what’s on your mind with just a look kind of love going on. Even with eyes closed walking across the lawn of the Nelson to find each other for a kiss, Derrick was able to find Kailey. It’s oh-so-obvious in the way he watches her, touches her, and loves on her that she’s his home, exactly where he’s supposed to be. 

And Kailey? 

Oh, friends. Even after all of these years the way her eyes light up when she looks at Derrick will give you goosebumps. Let alone when they’re kitchen dancing together at sunset, having a tickle fight at Kauffman Center. These two are 100% the ying to each other’s yang and the perfect match for each other.
