Dark & Stormy Fall Engagement Pictures

F

For those of you who think that dark and cloudy days aren’t great for taking pictures, this post will prove you wrong! Meet Savannah and Tim. Two of the very sweetest people you will ever meet in your life. Ever. Savannah’s easy going, bubbly personality rubs off on anyone who comes in contact with her. Tim’s laugh is completely and utterly contagious. These two are getting married next summer, and we are so excited!!

We know that not every single day will be sunny and bright, but we definitely don’t hope for bad weather! I know it might sound crazy, but we actually want our couples to enjoy their engagement session. For that reason, we always mention while designing sessions that if it happens to be too hot (above 95), windy, cold (below 50 typically), or rainy, that we might suggest rescheduling your session so you can enjoy yourselves and be comfortable.

Well. Let me just tell you, that on Savannah and Tim’s session day, those thunder clouds were rolling in. Because of their crazy work schedules, we needed to try to go through with their engagement session, despite the looming storm clouds. Those of you who know Kyle know that he’s a bit of a weather geek. He was actually watching radar all day long before meeting Savannah and Tim.

When it came time to start their session, these two were troopers! Since Savannah would be traveling to Hawaii to visit family just before Thanksgiving, we needed to do at least part of their engagement session done before she left. We got about halfway through their session before we had to call it quits and reschedule. And wouldn’t you know, the day we all picked as our fall back day wound up a little bit cloudy too? It’s a good thing Savannah and Tim didn’t have a problem with dramatic skies in their photos!
