Sunny March Engagement Session

And just like that, spring is here and with it comes busy season. Don’t get us wrong, this winter has been a busy one for us. Oftentimes winter for photographers is a little bit slower. And we’re no exception. But, this winter we’ve been taking some time to work on our business instead of in it. Wait, what?

Working on our business but not in it? That means instead of running all over the place like crazy people doing photo shoots we were doing work behind the scenes. Yes, we still had ALL the shoots this winter and had so much fun getting to work with so many new vendors. But we also spent a good chunk of our time working on things like workflows and systems, finding people to outsource things like our accounting and some of our marketing activities.

Winter is fine and great. And we’re all for fine tuning everything behind the scenes so that we’re ready to go 150% for our clients when busy season gets here. BUT. We are photographers at our heart and love nothing more than getting to work with clients and make pictures for them.

Man, what a great evening. Now we’re eagerly waiting for the rest of their session later this spring. BUT. In the meantime, we still get to do a reveal session with them in just a few short days. AND we still get to release a sneak peek! Yay!!

Needless to say we were SO excited for Barbie and Spencer’s engagement session on Friday. And although we all agreed to cut it short and wait until things are more green, we still had an absolute blast with this sweet couple. Did we mention their engagement session was our very first official session of the season? And we got to use our new camera gear?

So, here’s to winter being over. To busy season starting. We are SO EXCITED for all of the memories and moments and images we’ll get to capture this year!!
