We’re sure by now that you know how much we love fall around here. I mean, we REALLY love fall. Okay, maybe only I do. Kyle teases me because it’s the time of year when everything dies. He’s one of those guys that loves spring, when everything comes back to life. But, I digress. The reason I (and really we), love fall so much? All of the color and vibrancy that Mother Nature has to offer. Not to mention the crazy-beautiful temperatures. And have you seen the gorgeous golden light that comes around each fall? We’re big fans of that too.

That’s why we were so excited to be able to create Crystal and Nathan’s engagement photos this fall. Especially, when they told us they wanted something that incorporated fall foliage! One of our very, very favorite places in the fall is Kansas City’s Swope Park. It’s honestly one of the most underrated spots in the city for photos. But we LOVE how crazy-beautiful everything is. The rows and rows of trees get us every time. Add in a crazy-in-love couple, and you’ve got a gorgeous session.

And can we tell you a secret? We’ve never actually done an engagement session at Prairiefire. Ever. But we definitely fixed that during this session! And, seeing the way the beautiful colored glass reflected on the planted prairie grass surrounding the building, I’m pretty sure we all understood why the museum is named “Prairiefire.” We just absolutely love everything about it.
