Can we be honest with you about something? We’re not morning people. At all. In fact, if we’re ever given the choice between getting up early or staying up late, we’ll stay up late every time. We just function a little bit better. But every now and again we make an exception.

We made that exception a few weeks ago. After we had already rescheduled Lauren and Casey’s engagement session once because it was too hot. One thing that we always tell our couples about their engagement session is that we want them to actually enjoy themselves. Crazy, we know. But, have you ever really wanted to snuggle up close to your loved one when it’s 100* outside? And then have your photo taken? No thank you!

So for day morning we became morning people. And can we tell you just how much we enjoyed it?! Although we met these two at 6:30 AM on a Saturday morning, we all enjoyed every minute of it. And it was so neat to see the city in a different light than we’re used to. Lauren and Casey got to actually enjoy each other, and themselves. And that alone was worth getting up so early.
