Spring Sunset Maternity Session

Friends. One of the biggest honors of our lives? It’s when you ask us back to photograph your growing family. True story. It means the absolute world to us. And to us? It’s not just getting to take your picture again. It’s the privilege and honor of documenting your family history. Of creating images for you that will be cherished and loved and shared and passed down in your family for generations to come. So when Samantha and Cody asked us to photograph their spring sunset maternity session?

We literally did a happy dance. 

We all know that 2020 was not nice to anyone. And even though they live soooo close to her family, Samantha and Cody spent 2020 huddled up at home, working from home and obeying all of the stay at home orders. Needless to say it was such a treat for these two to break out of their normal, get dressed up, and meet us for some snuggling and photo time on one of the most gorgeous spring evenings you could even dream up. 

And, I’m not sure how they managed it, but these two wound up with a sunset so eerily similar to the one they got during their engagement session too. (You can see more from their engagement session here.) 

So soon (we’re down to weeks now, friends!), these two will welcome their sweet baby boy into the world. They’ll take him home to his Dumbo nursery that they’ve lovingly put together. You know, with the added Star Wars touches here and there courtesy of Cody, and their lives will be changed forever. Their sweet little guy will actually be one of three boy cousins all born this year (both of Sam’s sisters are having babies this year too!). 

Well, you two. Enjoy these last few weeks of just the two of you as much as we can, because we have no doubt the love you have for your little man and the impact he has on this world is going to rock your socks off.
