Lifestyle Maternity Sneak Peek

We’ve got something a little bit different for you today, friends. A Lifestyle Maternity Sneak Peek, if you will, done right here in Kansas City. While we do maternity photos from time, we haven’t done an in-home maternity session yet. So when Irene and Mitch suggested we do their maternity session at their home in Union Hill? We were totally in. 

So many people think that certain types of photo sessions (maternity, newborn, family, engagement, etc.), have to be done a certain way, or in a certain location. We are here to tell you, and Irene and Mitch are here to show you, that is absolutely  not the case. All of these sessions can be done wherever, and however best fits YOU and YOUR life. 

Which meant that we loved Irene’s idea so much to do their session at home. 

Where they spent the majority of their 2020 when they weren’t caring for their patients at the hospital. On their couch, in cuddly clothes, just hanging out. It’s the home where they’ll take their baby girl home to, and spend those first few precious moments as a new family. It’s where Mitch will get to see Irene really become a momma, and where Irene will get to see Mitch become a dad. Both, we’re sure, are going to knock it out of the park. Because their love for each other? And their sweet baby that isn’t even here yet? 

Friends. It was enough to make this super cold day feel like spring. 

So to Irene and Mitch’s we went. Where we were unexpectedly greeted by bacon-wrapped figs and little smokies. AKA the way to Kyle’s heart. We hung out and snapped photos while these two lovebirds snuggled in all of their favorite places, talking about their sweet baby, sharing their hopes and dreams for their future family with each other. AND we got to see all of the super awesome paintings Irene has been creating for their little nugget.

You guys. She’s already a doctor. BUT she’s also an extremely talented artist! 

And watching Mitch watch this beautiful woman? And the light in his eyes? You guys. We’re so grateful that we got to witness and capture such a special, special time for this sweet growing family.
