Have we ever told you just how lucky we are to be able to do what we love every day? And the fact that no day is ever the same. No couple is ever the same, and their stories certainly are never the same. We’re always so, so honored and privileged when the amazing people we get to work with let us into their lives, even if it’ s just for an afternoon or two.

Why? Because creating images of someone is such a person experience for both the subject, and the photographer. Especially if you want to create images of someone that truly reflects who they are as a couple. I mean, the pressure is really on! We always tell our couples that we’re a little nervous for them to see their images. And despite the fact that we’ve been doing this for 10 years now, we still get nervous.

Why? Because we want our couples to love their images. To truly see themselves and their relationship in those images. You see, we haven’t been trusted to just take pictures. But rather to enter their lives, get a glimpse of who they are, and tell their story in the images we make. And as we all know, letting people in is scary sometimes. What if they don’t capture who you really are?! Or what if you don’t like what you see? We totally get all of those questions and doubts. That’s why creating photos for you, our amazing clients, even if it is just for a brief part of your life is so important to us. And why we’re always, always so honored to create images for you.

Lorie and Eric are getting married this fall. And while we’re sad that we don’t get to be there for their wedding day, we’re so grateful they let us into their lives for an afternoon. And, we got to meet and play with their sweet pup, Rainey. Congratulations you two, we wish you all the best in the world. And thank you so much for trusting us to make your engagement images! (And for letting us love on Rainey!)
