Piazza Messina Fall Wedding
Wedding days are chock-full of emotion, friends. And while the obvious emotions that you think about on a wedding day are happy, or joy, or elated, sometimes there are other emotions too. Emily and Jeremy’s Piazza Messina fall wedding? Literally had all the emotions. Or at least a good chunk of them. Some of the expected ones, some of the unexpected ones.

What else did their wedding day have? Well, for starters, all the girl time. A super-emotional first look between Emily and her brother. Rubber chickens aplenty. (Yes, you read that right). A surprise gift on Emily’s bouquet from her mom that made all of us break down in tears. Including yours truly. There was also a visit to a cigar shop and a commemorative bottle of St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup Champions Champagne. (That also happened to go missing.)
And more rubber chickens.
Emily and Jeremy visited her dad’s graveside, where there were tears a plenty. Again, yours truly included. And lots and lots and lots of hugs. They interpreted Abbey Road with their wedding party and we all laughed until our bellies hurt. There were red roses and flour girls, and ring bearers with mouths stained bright blue from ring pops. Did we mention the finger guns during their wedding ceremony yet? Because that happened too.
There were reserved seats for those there in spirit, but unable to be there in person. There were fireball shots, dances in the sunset, and pictures with windmills and pumpkins. And of course, more rubber chickens. Emily and Jeremy were toasted by their VIPS, had an amazing dinner, and literally attacked their wedding cake to cut it.
And after all of that? These two had one hell of a party. Literally, one HELL of a party. Jeremy and his college friends serenaded Emily and then smoked cigars while Emily and her bridesmaids GOT DOWN on the dance floor. There were some crazy-awesome dance moves by their friends, Dominoes stickers everywhere, and in the corner, a small “tribute” to a spilled drink. Complete with votives, Dominoes stickers, roses, and greenery.
Because hello?! Why not?!
But on top of all of this? There was love. SO MUCH LOVE. And so much laughter. Of course, as we mentioned there were also some tears. But there were also so many hugs and so many reassurances. So many congratulations and so much celebrating. So many of Emily and Jeremy’s most loved humans all there to support them on their big day.
Which, honestly? No matter the amount of rubber chickens, is what it’s all about friends.
Piazza Messina Fall Wedding

Emily and Jeremy – words will never be able to thank you both enough for choosing us to capture your wedding day. Thank you so much for letting us into your bubble and all of your oh-so-special fun and emotional moments. For spinning circles in the sunlight and bearing with us as we got the flames “just right.” For always supporting and encouraging us to keep on being ourselves and doing what we love to do no matter what any one else says. Your words and friendship mean more to us than you’ll ever know.
