Outdoorsy Fall Engagement Sneak Peek

F

Friends, Meet Ollie and RJ. We met these two love birds several months ago, and immediately hit it off. Trading selfies with cocktails in hand and dogs in the background. Finding our “soul mates” in each other, and laughing uncontrollably pretty much every single time we talk. I mean, how could we not absolutely fall in love with these two? They’re so outgoing and loving, kind-hearted and honest, all with a layer of sarcasm coating everything. Like I said, pretty much our soulmates. 🙂

An image taken up-close to a fire, of two men in fall sweaters sitting on a bench, laughing hysterically together as they pet their dogs at the end of their outdoorsy fall engagement session in Kansas City.

When it came time to plan their engagement session, we all got together (via Zoom), coffee in hand to talk through things. Ollie and RJ knew they wanted to wait until things cooled down, so later in the fall. They knew they wanted outdoorsy. But not just fluffy, light, pretty and manicured outdoorsy, but woodsy outdoorsy. Throw in some KC City skyline too, because, you know, Kansas City. 🙂 And of course, they wanted to include their two sweet pups, Stella and Hank. (Is it even an engagement session without including your dogs?)

And so, we all finally got together this past weekend for engagement photos. We think it’s safe to say that these two were maybe a little nervous before we started. Oh, who are we kidding. Most of our couples have never had photos taken before and are a little nervous. But, after walking RJ and Ollie through our tips and tricks, and adding in a few extra steps for RJ to get in alllll the touch for a while, these two absolutely ROCKED their engagement session.

And we mean, ROCKED it. Like, for real friends.

Whether it was the outdoorsy wooded park, or the city skyline, or even hanging out at home in their backyard with their firepit going and puppos nearby, RJ and Ollie absolutely rocked their fall engagement session. Because, yes, you read that right. We wrapped up Ollie and RJ’s engagement session at home, in their backyard. Fire going in the firepit, champagne in hand, snuggling on their back patio with Stella and Hank right by their sides. After all, why shouldn’t we end at one of their very favorite places, doing one of their very favorite things?
