Vox Christmas Wedding Sneak Peek

F

Friends, meet Kate and Mike. We are so stinking excited to be sharing their Vox Christmas wedding sneak peek with you today! These two lovebirds are Florida dwellers, coming home to Kansas City (for Kate) to get married. And, married they now are! And although COVID threw a wrench into their plans, these two are still so excited to finally, finally have done the deed. Even if it was a little bit different from what they originally imagined.

A candid black and white picture of a bride holding a bouquet and a groom's hands as the couple smiles at each other in front of a backdrop of white snowflakes hanging from the ceiling of the Vox theater at the end of a wedding ceremony near Christmas time in Kansas City.

For as long as we’ve known her, Kate’s dream wedding has been a Christmastime wedding, with fingers crossed, snow. Lots of photos with twinkly lights, a nice, relaxing morning surrounded by all of their friends and family. Seeing Mike for the first time at their crazy-cool venue (The Uptown) and traveling all over the city in a trolley hitting up all of the best holiday lights and decor in town.

We’re sure you’ve guessed by now, that’s not exactly how things went down.

BUT, even though they had to make adjustments to their big day, we’re pretty sure it’s safe to say that Kate and Mike had the best wedding day ever. Unlike so many couples this year, Kate and Mike got to keep their original wedding date. AND they still got to spend their morning with their closest VIPs, who traveled in from near and far to be there on the big day. Instead of a first on stage at The Uptown, these two lovebirds got to see each other for the first time in the GORGEOUS lobby of the Raphael Hotel that was completely stuffed with BEAUTIFUL Christmas decorations. Which, Kate was TOTALLY in love with.

It also meant that on a freezing cold December day, they and their wedding party got to stay nice and cozy for photos! Instead of trolleying around KC, their wedding party braved the cold and ducked out to the Plaza for a few wedding party pictures before heading to The Vox for the wedding ceremony.

And even though these two had two switch venues?

Their Vox Christmas wedding was so incredibly intimate, with just their immediate family and closest friends in attendance. The Vox was absolutely overflowing with Christmas decorations, and Kate and Mike’s wedding ceremony absolutely glittered. You guys – it was seriously so cozy!

AND – to top it all off? Kate and Mike still got to hit up a few of KC’s favorite Christmas light locations to get ALLLLL of the holiday wedding photos. We can’t even wait to share some more of these!

Kate and Mike – thank you both so much for having us capture your wedding day! We know it didn’t go down exactly how you planned, but are still so excited that you two are finally married! We absolutely cannot WAIT to share more with you so soon!
