Spring Royal Room Wedding Reception
It’s finally time! To share some of our favorite moments and images from Erin and Stephen’s BEAUTIFUL spring wedding. This sweet couple has been together almost as long as we have, and we can’t even begin to tell you how touched we are that we got to witness them finally say their vows. Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful and full of custom details everywhere. From Erin’s custom gown, to Stephen’s custom tux, their invitations and cake topper that incorporated their three dogs, and even the floral bouquets that Erin hands-on designed, you’re not going to want to miss anything from their wedding day.
And if all of the pretty isn’t enough to keep you scrolling, Erin and Stephen are sharing some FANTASTIC advice about wedding planning. Enjoy, friends!

Best advice for a bride?
Remember that you only have so much control over what happens on your wedding day. You cannot plan for everything, so do what you can, but remind yourself to let go and enjoy the day. It will be beautiful no matter if it rains or shines!
Best advice for a groom?
Don’t: Get wasted, take the day for granted.
Do: Eat dinner, savor all the special moments.

What were your favorite moments from your wedding day?
Erin | When Stephen sang to me. 🙂 It was so romantic! Even though there were close to 200 people in the room, it felt like it was just him and I in that moment.
Stephen | Our first look because I had not seen or talked to Erin at all that day until then.

Any words of wisdom for those still planning?
Your wedding day is about you, your significant other, and the love you share for one another. Stephen and I knew what vision we had for our wedding day, but had family and friends that disagreed with certain details. Your wedding day is incredibly special, so make it unique to the two of you. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help! I have a tendency to try to do everything myself, but planning a wedding really takes a village.

Favorite splurge?
Erin | Our photography (we love you guys)! We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos! Also, our invitations. I had an artist sketch and watercolor paint them. I absolutely love them!
Stephen | My tux because I thought it was fun not having Erin see the finished look until our wedding day.
What do you wish you knew before you started planning?
Erin | I wish I knew how much smaller European bridal sizes ran versus US sizes—haha. I ordered my dress from a European designer (Milla Nova) and it was pretty tight! Luckily, I found Kate with Kathryn Lee Bridal Atelier. Not only did she make my dress fit perfectly, but she also was able to customize the back just how I imagined.
Stephen | The MegaMillions lottery numbers.
(^^Yes, Stephen really said that LOL)

What’s next for you two?
We are planning our honeymoon to Jamaica in a couple weeks. After that, we will let things calm down before possibly fostering a third dog 🙂
Anything else you would like to share with planning brides and grooms?
My husband and I were incredibly impressed with our Day-of-Coordinator, Drue Donelson. We are so glad we made the decision to hire him! In fact, I wish we would have found him sooner to full-on plan our wedding. From sewing on loose buttons, bustling/unbustling my train, grabbing drinks for toasts, lighting 80+ candles for the reception…There are really so many things he was able to do to make our day more seamless.
Congratulations Erin and Stephen! We are so happy for you and are so excited to see where life takes you next!
