Powell Gardens Sunny Spring Wedding

Well here we go again, friends, with another rainy day in Kansas City. This weekend we were lucky enough to get two sunny days, back to back, just in time for Amanda and Chris’s Powell Gardens Sunny Spring Wedding day.

And boy, oh boy, was it a day for the memory books. Both theirs (of course), and ours. We absolutely CANNOT WAIT to share their full day with you. Because it was full of so much emotion and so many moments. And so much of everything that’s just Amanda and Chris.

But if we had to pick 1 word to sum up Amanda and Chris’s wedding day, we would have no problem doing that. The word is GLEE. From the moment we arrived at Amanda’s parents’ home Saturday morning, until the very, very last dance that night their whole day was full of glee and big smiles. Loved ones and friends everywhere. Add in a handful of light sabers, a couple of wookies, and lots of gorgeousness at Powell Gardens?

You guys. It was just amazing. Such a great day.

Through it all, Amanda and Chris had cool, level, so excited and happy heads. Neither one of them could wait for their first look. Even with the giant bumble bees that Amanda is terrified of. And when wedding party picture time came around? They had the most fun with their people. Let’s just say for now that there were several catwalks involved, and of course. Star Wars socks.

We would be lying if we said we just about lost it when Amanda and Chris’ grandparents showed up for family pictures. And this sweet couple let us steal them away for a few private moments in the chapel where they would say their vows? You guys, it’s a good thing I wore waterproof mascara.

The thing is we could write novels about Amanda and Chris, their love for each other, and their wedding day. And in all honestly we probably will when we release their full wedding day blog post. But for now, we’re just going to leave this beauty here. Because if any of the thousands of images we took on their wedding day could sum up their whole day in 1 image? It’s this one . 🙂
