Otten on Main Summer Wedding

Man, oh man, friends. We are so excited to be back to share Kayla and Scott’s full Otten on Main summer wedding day with you. In case you didn’t catch their sneak peek and a quick run down of their day, you can find both of them here.

One of the things that we ask every couple we meet with is what they’re looking forward to most on wedding day, you know, besides getting married. Sometimes they both give us the same answer, sometimes they don’t. Both are totally okay answers. 🙂 

But Kayla and Scott? 

Their answers were the same, almost unanimously. They were the most excited to have all of their family and friends in one place. To get to hang out with all of them at once, and to be able to watch them all get to know each other, celebrate all night long together. And friends? That’s exactly what they did. From the moment Kayla, her moms, sister, and girlfriends arrived at Hello Lovely until the very last song the band played at the end of the night, these two were completely enveloped in a big circle of love and celebration all day long. 

Even at the end of the night when we had Kayla and Scott pulled aside to do their “end of the night” shot, Kayla’s brother noticed they were all by themselves, and how weird that was. So, of course, he walks up behind them and puts his arms around them both, not even realizing Kyle was in the middle of making a super-romantic photo for them. The end result, as you’ll see, wound up being one of their favorite moments from their whole day. (And ours too). 

Kayla and Scott also wanted to make sure that they hosted a “safe” event for all of their VIPs. 

Which meant they (not their vendors) required everyone to wear a mask during their wedding ceremony. It meant they moved their cocktail hour and reception to the roof of their venue. They also asked their friends and family about their comfort level, and spread out reception tables and ceremony seating accordingly. And you now what? Because this sweet pair asked and it was so important to them? Of course their family and friends followed through. 🙂
