Happy Friday, friends! We hope you’ve had a great week and that you’re surviving this sudden cold snap! We are so excited to bring you Tenise and Brandon’s Nighttime Liberty Memorial Sneak Peek today. And can we just tell you, these two know how to keep us on our toes!

We’ve been waiting a little bit to plan their engagement session, so Tenise could recover from shoulder surgery. And last week, when we got together to map everything out, they threw a bit of a surprise at us. You see, Brandon is a veteran. And Liberty Memorial is one of his favorite places in the city for so many reasons. But above all, he loves and respects what it stands for and represents. It has a special place in his heart.

So, when he found out they were going to be lighting it up with poppies for the Museum’s Armistice Day centennial event, he knew that he wanted to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity. How? Well, of course, by doing their engagement photos there. The catch? The Memorial was only going to be lit up for 9 days. And it was supposed to get bitterly cold, rainy, and snowy.

After moving their session around, trying to get THE BEST possible weather of the week, we met these two on Tuesday evening for their engagement session. And although we got rained on, and may have halfway frozen, we all somberly watched in awe as the Memorial lit up. And of course, then we respectfully created a few engagement photos for them. This, is just one of our favorites.
