Mellon Acres Fall Wedding

Say hello to Krissy and Michael. These two got married this September, during a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Mellon Acres in Lawson. The really cool thing about their wedding day? They got to spend the whole weekend with their loved ones at Mellon Acres in the cabins on the property. 

The other really cool thing about their wedding day? They were completely present. If you’re thinking, well of course they were, it was their wedding, you’re right, to a point. What we mean by saying “completely present” is that they were their, enjoying each and every moment with their friends and family. Not tied up in what was happening on Facebook, or worrying over the constant threat of rain. They weren’t worrying about how the table set-ups were going, or trying to coordinate late minute details from their iPhones. 

These two decided on their wedding day to just be present, and take it all in. To not let their day get overrun by technology and details and anything and everything that could go wrong. Instead, they went with the flow. Sat back and relaxed, enjoyed some wine-soaked gummy bears, played several games of “Heads up,” and enjoyed their home-brew at the bar. 

After their ceremony, they went fishing with their wedding party. And you know it was a good day because Michael caught a fish after only 5 minutes. These two had so many emotional moments throughout the day, and we’re so glad they got to soak each and every one up. Because if we’re being honest, in today’s world? That’s one of the very hardest things to do on a wedding day.
