We have such a happy and fun wedding to share with you today! Laura and Ryan are two of the silliest people we know. We’ve had such a great time with them during their engagement session, and all through their planning process, and just knew their wedding day was going to be a blast as well. First Look | The Guild KC

Laura and Ryan knew they wanted to be able to spend plenty of time taking photos with their wedding party. And that they didn’t want their wedding guests to have to wait on them for dinner. Their solution? A private first look in The Guild’s beautiful courtyard. Who doesn’t love a great glimpse of the KC skyline in the background of their wedding images?

Wedding Party Picture Location | Ilus Davis Park, Kansas City, MO City Hall

Originally, Laura wanted her wedding colors to be simple: black, with white and green flowers. But Ryan wanted to incorporate lots of color! Their solution was to change their wedding colors. But, we still managed to sneak in beautiful white flowers with some greenery for their wedding party picture location.

Laura and Ryan took advantage of a nice, warm, spring day, and held their ceremony outside in The Guild’s courtyard. You just can’t beat that bright green grass and twinkly lights. And, how beautiful is their custom arbor? Plus, you just can’t beat personal, hand-written vows. Laura and Ryan worked together to write their vows and completely customize After the ceremony friends and family moved inside to enjoy cocktail hour and their reception.

Bridal Portrait Location | Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

One of Laura’s favorite places in Kansas City is the Kauffman Center. She also really, really wanted to try to catch a sunset on her wedding day. So, just after their ceremony, we stole the newlyweds away for just a few more photos. We’re so glad Laura requested to go to Kauffman!!
