Kim & Keith: Intimate Prairie Village Wedding
For their intimate Prairie Village wedding Kim and Keith decided to get ready at the places they love most surrounded by the people they love most – their families. In the few days leading up to their wedding day Kim had moved all of her belongings to Keith’s house from the home that she had shared with her sister for the last several years. When they had initially purchased their home together Kim and her sister Carrie had no idea of the adventure and meaning it would hold for them, and Kim wanted nothing more than to get ready for the biggest day of her life in her home with her sisters. We loved this – so often our clients choose to get ready in a hotel, but this added another level of intimacy to Kim and Keith’s wedding day. After the three sisters decided who would get to wear which of their mom’s jewelry, Kim put on her wedding gown. Since there were still a few beautiful fall leaves on the trees lining their street, we stopped to do a few photos in the street in front of her home. We later found out these were some of Kim’s favorites from her wedding day.
After arriving at St. Ann’s, Kim did a quick reveal with her dad, who then escorted her to see Keith for the first time. Every first look is always emotional, but this one especially. After their traditional Catholic ceremony Kim and Keith held a private dinner for their friends and family at The Gaslight Grill instead of hosting a large reception. We loved this! It really allowed them to spend some more meaningful time with each of their guests, and really enjoy each other. The Gaslight Grill happened to have a live jazz band playing that night, and after toasts and cake, Kim and Keith made their way down to the restaurant where the band was playing and shared their first dance, as well as a dance with their parents. Thank you so much you two for letting us be there for your wedding day!! Congratulations again!
