Kauffman Stadium & Union Station Engagement | K+J

Friends. Meet Kaitlyn and Josh. Their loves? Each other, of course, Royals baseball, good chocolate, and wine. We knew when we met these two that we were going to hit it off pretty well. The reason? Kaitlyn told us that she wanted something different. More of a modern twist on traditional for their engagement and wedding photos. Josh knew exactly what he wanted as well: engagement photos at Kauffman Stadium. Like always, as we were getting to know these two and the ins and outs of their relationship we asked them what their favorite date night is. Their answer: good wine, chocolate and cheese at home on the kitchen counter. We (the yearly heart-shaped pizza Valentine dinner couple) LOVE it! And these two as well!

Kaitlyn threw a good challenge our way, but one that we were very excited about. As their session got closer and closer we threw several ideas around, and finally landed on one. A night time Union Station engagement session. Because really, how often do you see Union Station at night? Not that often, and we were all so excited.

Kauffman Stadium

The morning of their engagement session rolled around and Kaitlyn and Josh were as excited as kids in a candy store. As part of their tour at the stadium they got to see places they hadn’t before: the locker room, the tunnel, and the view from the very top. We had so much fun!

Union Station

Later that evening we met back up with Kaitlyn and Josh at Union Station to finish up. They had literally just finished the new plaza outside. If you haven’t seen it up close yet, make the trip! It’s beautiful! The night of their session the clock wasn’t even up! These two trusted us with all of our crazy ideas, and in the end Kaitlyn was very happy with her modern traditional engagement photos. And so are we! You’ll be seeing more of these guys just after the New Year. They will get married in December, and we are so excited!
