Jessica & Brett's Dramatic Downtown Engagement Session

Jessica and Brett are getting married this weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited for their wedding day on Saturday. In anticipation of their big day, we thought we would take a look back at some of our favorite images from their engagement session. And can I just say, these two were absolute troopers when it came to their session! Mother Nature was not particularly on our side that day, which resulted in a very cloudy, dramatic downtown engagement session in Kansas City for these two. We started their engagement session in downtown Kansas City, at one of our favorite spots, the Rooftop Park. Luckily we were able to take advantage of some of the sunlight left that afternoon, before all of the dramatic clouds moved in! After spending a good chunk of time there, we decided to beat the rain and head to our cars to hopefully still try to catch part of a sunset. As we traveled to our second, (Swope Park), finishing spot for them, it actually started pouring, and we had to sit and wait in our cars for the rain to stop for about 30 minutes. Luckily, when it did, the result was this gorgeous pink and purple sunset. While the sun dipped down pretty quick behind the clouds, we were so excited that Jessica and Brett wanted to keep shooting into twilight for a little bit. It really added to the drama and moodiness of the rest of their engagement session. It’s safe to say that some of the images we created have ended up being some of our favorite engagement photos. I just love those columns! It’s so hard to believe that your wedding day is already here, and we can’t wait for your big day on Saturday. Congratulations again Jessica and Brett!
