Fun KC Plaza Spring Engagement Session
Aka: why you shouldn’t choose “trendy” engagement picture locations for your engagement session.

Yep, we said it. 😲 But, it’s true. When you’re trying to figure out where to take your engagement pictures, don’t choose a location just because it’s trendy. I mean, do you really want the same exact engagement pictures at the same exact location as everybody else? Psh. We didn’t think so.
You are not a “do what everybody else does” kind of couple.
Otherwise you wouldn’t be poking your way through our website. 🙃
Instead, odds are that you want engagement pictures that are a true representation of you and your honey. Engagement pictures that are different from what everyone else out there does and has. After all, you and your honey are not like anybody else out there. And your engagement pictures shouldn’t be like anybody else’s either. I mean, does the roof of that random parking garage really mean something to you?
So if you don’t go opt for the trendy picture location, where should you take your engagement pictures?
Well, you could be like Kirsten and Brandon. Maybe go back to the neighborhood where you had your first date, or even met for the first time. These two lovebirds met online, but chose to have their first date at Zocalo on the Plaza. Brandon remembers sitting in the restaurant, looking out the window and wondering if Kirsten was going to show up. And when she did? He knew that he would never remember the restaurant, or the KC Plaza the same ever again. Because that was where he met the love of his life.
So it was only natural that we returned to the place where they first met for their engagement pictures.
No, we didn’t go in Zocalo, but instead wandered the streets of the Plaza with these two lovebirds, reminiscing about their first date, who made the first move (Brandon), and deciding where they were going to go for dinner after their engagement pictures (Zocalo, of course).
Because they decided to go to a location that meant something to them? Kirsten and Brandon wound up loving their engagement pictures that much more. They actually mean something to them besides “good for Instagram.” And they for sure, definitely don’t have the exact same photos as anyone else out there.
Instead, their engagement pictures are 100% uniquely them.
