Farmhouse KC Timeless Spring Wedding

We are so, SO EXCITED to be sharing Jocelyn & Austin’s Farmhouse KC Timeless Spring Wedding with you today friends! These two tied the knot at The Farmhouse KC Event Venue a few weeks ago, and just saw their wedding photos last night.

And boy, oh boy, have we been on the edges of our seats to share more from this timeless spring wedding day with you! 

Jocelyn knew as soon as she started wedding planning that she wanted her and Austin’s big day to be timeless. For that reason, she stuck with her favorite colors for their wedding colors: black and white, with a little bit of lush green thrown in. And honestly? By sticking with that simple color palette for everything from her black bridesmaids dresses and classic black and white groomsmen tuxes, to her invitations and signage, Jocelyn and Austin’s wedding day at The Farmhouse KC was oh-so-elegant and timeless. 

These two lovebirds were completely surrounded by so many of their friends and family all day long. Austin’s little sister and mom hung out with Jocelyn and her mom, sister, and grandma, and her bridesmaids all morning. Meanwhile, Austin and the groomsmen took advantage of the Grooms Cottage at The Farmhouse KC Event Venue and brought in a barber to give them fresh shaves and haircuts on wedding morning. Talk about a groom planning a pampering session for his friends! 

One of the magical parts of a wedding day (you know, besides all of the love and happiness), is seeing everything that our couples have planned come together. And for Jocelyn and Austin? It might have been even more magical. 

You see, on their spring wedding day, it rained all morning and into the afternoon. These two weren’t even sure if they were going to get to have the outside ceremony they had planned on. All morning long their wedding vendors carried flowers and cupcakes, signage and decor in through the showers. But lo and behold, moments after Jocelyn put on her wedding gown, the rain stopped and the sunshine came out. 

Which meant she and Austin would get to tie the knot underneath the gorgeous arbor Jocelyn’s dad built for their wedding. 

Jocelyn and Austin chose to see each other for the first time as Jocelyn walked down the aisle. And we would be lying if we said the air wasn’t thick with anticipation. It was all Jocelyn could do to not peek her head outside The Farmhouse to sneak a peek at Austin waiting for her at the front of the aisle. And it was all Austin could do to dry his tears as his beautiful bride walked down the aisle towards him. 

After their short, meaningful wedding ceremony, Austin and Jocelyn took a few minutes to themselves in The Cottage at The Farmhouse, each wiping tears from their eyes. 

And afterwards? Their wedding party had so much fun with these two during wedding party pictures. And, of course, during their wedding reception. It was so, SO good to see such an awesome party with so many people on the dance floor celebrating the sweet couple. Jocelyn and Austin’s wedding reception is one we won’t be forgetting anytime soon. These lovebirds danced the whole night away with their friends and family, and we’re pretty sure they had the time of their lives.
