Fall Wedding Reception at The Foundation
Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start one of these things, you know, a blog post about a wedding. Especially this one about Katarina and Tim’s fall wedding reception at The Foundation. There are so many stories that we want to tell you. So many quirks and inside jokes that make up Katarina and Tim. So many fun memories of their friends and family from their big day. And so many memories that we’ve created with them that we want to tell you about too.
So where do we even begin?
Maybe it’s by telling you that we still remember the very first conversation we had with Katarina and Tim at a huge bridal show. And how we clearly remember her mountain necklace, and the gentle, yet excited way she and Tim looked through our wedding albums. Or maybe we tell you about their love of adventure and trying any and everything new. About how Tim wanted to propose on the rooftop of the downtown library, but there were just too many people there. So he wound up proposing inside instead. And just so happened to be under a security camera, which caught the whole thing.
Maybe we tell you that these two lovebirds were so excited the night before the wedding that they barely slept a wink because they were both up late, writing their own, private vows to each other. How they were both together on wedding morning at their venue, bring in all of the greenery and book decor that they’d worked so hard to make together leading up to their wedding day. (PS – we’re not animals; when we found out they’d been up all night we sent Kyle out for wedding morning coffee and breakfast from Mildred’s).
Or, maybe, just maybe, we tell you about their VIPs.
Their siblings, siblings-in-law, and closest friends that were right beside them on wedding day. Steaming dresses, tying bow ties, chauffeuring Bennett and Scout (their corgis) to and from wedding pictures in the West Bottoms. How all of their friends and family pooled all of their energy and excitement into Katarina and Tim’s wedding day, absolutely showering them with love. How they excitedly lifted Tim into the air on their shoulders at The Nelson during wedding party photos. And how Tim’s older brother used Katarina’s Scrabble tile centerpieces to spell “farts.”
Maybe we should just tell you about their wedding ceremony. And how Katarina and Tim decided to walk each other down the aisle to their ceremony. (And about how I could hardly keep from tearing up while they waited to walk down.) How they tied the knot in the church they went to while at Rockhurst. About their nephews, who were so excited to be ring bears that Katarina and Tim had to find bear costumes for them to wear. And how their officiate, also the president of the college, had so many warm memories of them and had so much good advice for them.
Or, it could be their fall wedding reception at The Foundation.
About the loving toasts/roasts their siblings gave them. About Katarina twirling Tim around the dance floor so he could be the center of attention, because that’s just who they are. And how could we forget one of our favorite memories of the whole day?! These two, outside, at the very, very end of their big day. Absolutely jumping for joy because they had finally done it. They’d finally gotten married. And their big day was everything they’d dreamed of and then some.
So you see…. We’re not quite sure where to start. Maybe, we’ll just let you look through the photos from their day instead. Because they are so, completely and utterly Katarina and Tim. Enjoy, friends.
Fall Wedding Reception at The Foundation
Katarina and Tim – again, we’re not really sure where to start. Words cannot even begin to express the massive amounts of joy and fun that we’ve had with you two over the last year. It’s been an absolute privilege to get to know you both, and to get to love on your sweet pups, and to get to laugh and celebrate with your family and friends. You two are bound for something great, and we cannot even wait to see where this crazy life takes you. No matter where, we know that you’ll have each other’s backs and you’ll constantly be lifting each other up, because that’s just who you are. Thank you so much, sweet friends.
