Abbey & Hunter's Fall Aspen Engagement Session
“We’re down for an adventure!” These are dangerous, dangerous words around here. They’re almost like a dare – to see just where we can go and what we can create with our couples. Pair that with one of the most common phrases in Kansas City in the fall: “we want fall leaves,” and you just don’t know what you’re going to wind up with. Add in a little bit of Instagram scouting, and we are SO happy to bring you Abbey and Hunter’s engagement session in Aspen!
Abbey and Hunter are two of the busiest people that we know. Between Abbey’s med school and Hunter’s personal training job, these two are constantly on the go. They knew they wanted to be able to take a few days off to relax and do something fun and different for their engagement session. Once we had agreed that Colorado was the best spot, the fun started.
Kyle put together a few different options for these two to choose from, based on how adventurous they were feeling. I’m pretty sure Abbey and Hunter’s words when choosing their location in Aspen were, “Go big or go home!” We couldn’t agree more! Abbey and Hunter took a few days off and road-tripped out to Aspen for their session.
If you’ve never been to Aspen in the fall, you NEED to go. It’s so crazy beautiful, and it just glows with the yellow of the aspen trees. Having arrived earlier in the day and scouted locations, we knew there were so many options that we needed to narrow it down. Believe it or not, a good chunk of these images were created at a little roadside pull-off. After a quick bite to eat, we all headed up to Maroon Bells, just outside Aspen, and it did not disappoint. We’ve never seen anything like this place in our lives, and cannot wait to go back!
