Executive Hills Polo Club Epic Fall Wedding
Yep, that’s right. We just used the word “epic” in the title of a wedding blog post to describe a wedding. And you know what? We don’t regret it one little bit. Because here’s the thing. Haley and Brody’s wedding?? It was absolutely, positively 100% epic from the very start to the very end of the day. And they had us for all day coverage, so we’re not even exaggerating a little bit there, friends. I mean, if we had to sum up their whole day with one photo? It would be this one:
So. What are the things you MUST know about their day? Well, for starters, when we asked them how they wanted their wedding photos to feel, their resounding, no hesitation answer was like one big party. A celebration where everyone came, saw them get married, and then had one hell of a party.
Well. Let’s just say, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
One thing you should know about Haley and Brody is that they are two of the most fun, most relaxed, caring, big hearted people that we’ve ever met. They want everyone they meet and come in contact with to be having a good time. We’re honored to say that we’ve known these two lovebirds for a few years now and can’t even count the number of times that we’ve all just dissolved in to laughter together.
That’s just how it is, friends.
Their wedding day was no exception. Especially since Brody started his morning with the guys at Top Golf. And Haley? She made sure all of her girls and both of their moms had plenty of mimosas at hand. After reading a super heartfelt letter from her momma, the morning festivities commenced. Complete with hair and makeup, dance parties, tequila shots, and even more dance parties.
And the guys? After they finished up at Top Golf they all headed north to Executive Hills Polo Club. After they arrived Brody presented his guys with the best gift ever: lime green avocado socks with his face on them. Again, if this doesn’t tell you just how much fun this pair is, we don’t know what will.
Not too long after Haley and Brody got dressed, the sun broke through the gross rain clouds that had been hanging around all day. Just in time for these two lovebirds to exchange love letters on the front porch of Executive Hills. Friends. This was such a special moment. Especially since they didn’t want to see each other until after they read their letters.
Let’s just say ALLL the feels. And goosebumps. And love. 🙂
One of the reasons Haley and Brody chose to do a first look is that they wanted to spend their whole day together. And they didn’t want to make their guests wait after their ceremony while they did portraits. So after their first look? You better believe we spent some time roaming the grounds of the polo club with them to make some wedding day portraits. And then we pulled their wedding party in.
Say it with us now, “EPIC.”
And friends. Let’s just say, that this group knows how to have a good time. They had so much fun, that we had to create a “for your eyes only” password protected album in Haley and Brody’s online gallery for all of the images we weren’t sure they wanted their grandmas to see.
Just how go-with-the-flow are Haley and Brody? Well, let’s just say that when the sun finally came out 20 minutes before their wedding ceremony and we asked to steal them away for a few last minute portraits with gorgeous light? They happily followed us and enjoyed a few last minutes together before walking down the aisle.
Pretty dang cool friends.
Finally, FINALLY, the big moment arrived. Guests were in their seats with a Truly or beer, the wedding party was lined up, and thank goodness, the sun was out. Haley and Brody had the most beautiful, silly, completely and utterly them wedding ceremony. One of our favorite parts was honestly watching their friends and family react to different parts of their ceremony. It just always gives us all the feels, friends.
At the end of their ceremony these two literally ran back up the aisle to celebrate with their VIPS. And of course, let us steal them away for a few minutes to romp in the polo fields behind the venue for some gorgeous golden hour wedding portraits. Friends – we LOVE stealing you away for a few minutes after your ceremony. There’s just something so magical about brand new newlywed photos. And it’s such a perfect few minutes for you to have a few minutes alone together before reception craziness starts.
Because trust us. Reception craziness did start.
Maybe we should even call it pandemonium? Maybe. However we want to describe it, our words will never do us justice when we talk about Haley and Brody’s wedding reception. Because everything from reception-wide tequila shots to wedding party cigars and shot-gunned beer, to cake smashing the best man happened. And did we mention these two brought in late-night Taco Bell for their guests? Because that happened too. And of course, the photo booth had horse head masks. Because why not?
Friends. Haley and Brody’s day was EPIC. Quite literally their best day ever. And so incredibly much fun, with so much love just oozing from everyone in attendance. Enjoy, friends. 🙂
