What do you get when you combine dearly beloved family heirlooms, ALL the rose gold, and a modern, fun-loving couple that loves anything and everything sentimental? Kat and Tim’s wedding day, that’s what you get. And if you’re thinking, oh, that sounds lovely, well let us tell you, friends. It was absolutely lovely and then some.

You see, Kat and Tim are two of a kind. They balance each other out in the very best ways. Lift each other up all the time. Celebrate life’s little victories, and hold the people and things they love the most close to their hearts. They genuinely treasure each other and all of life’s experiences. And we knew that somehow, they were going to wind everything they loved into their wedding day. And that’s exactly what they did.

One of the very first things Kat and Tim told us about their wedding day was that Kat was going to wear her mother’s wedding dress. Which also happened to be her grandmother’s wedding dress. We knew from that very moment that their day was going to be oh-so-special. And while every wedding day is full of special details, theirs was especially filled with special details.

Getting Ready

Kat and Tim spent their wedding morning going to a quiet brunch, just the two of them. We can’t even tell you how much we love that they started their wedding day together. After their favorite breakfast, they both headed back to their loft in the Crossroads, where Tim got ready upstairs with his friends, and Kat met all of the ladies downstairs in their loft for hair and make-up. And Penelope. How could we even forget sweet Penelope? Kat and Tim’s beloved cat, who was just ever so slightly curious about all of the going-ons of the morning.

When it came time to put on her gown, Kats mom and Grandma stood by clutching each other’s hands tightly as Kat’s bridesmaids zipped her in and taped her up. This is always an emotional moment for our brides and their moms, but especially on this wedding morning. We would love to know what was going through their minds as they watched Kat put on the gown that they had each worn on their own wedding day.

First Look, Portraits & Ceremony

One of Tim’s very favorite places in the city is the downtown public library, which is where Kat and Tim had their wedding ceremony. This sweet couple chose to do their first look on the roof, and emotions were so high as Kat walked around the corner to see Tim. After exchanging wedding bands and reading the inscriptions we all meandered around the library taking photos before their intimate wedding ceremony, officiated by Tim’s dad.

And then, the party started. Kat and Tim’s loved ones all made their way to the Muehlebach Suite at Boulevard Brewing Company. As they were getting warm and settled, we all ventured out for a few more photos, including, of course, the iconic Boulevard lights. After finishing up photos, we all headed in to the party. Kat and Tim celebrated their marriage with a choreographed first dance and then celebrated the night away with friends and family.
