You guys. Hailey and Johnny’s full engagement session blog is here. And it’s one that we’re so excited for you to see. Oh, who are we kidding. We’re always so excited to share everyone’s session or wedding day with you.

But today is Hailey and Johnny’s day.

So please, take a minute to do a happy dance with us! The really cool thing about doing a happy dance? We look like complete idiots doing it, which is why we don’t do it in front of anyone but ourselves. The really cool (okay one of the really cool) thing about Hailey and Johnny? Johnny and Hailey could teach us all how to do a proper happy dance.

Who wants to learn a real happy dance?

Johnny will probably laugh at us for asking him to teach us how to happy dance. Why? Well, he’s a professional ballroom dancer. Like that’s his real job. What he does professionally. And he’s awesome at it. He teaches at a studio in Overland Park. (We have no shame in pimping him out – check his studio out here) Which is where he met his beautiful, talented, spunky fiancé, Hailey.

You see, one day Hailey (a labor and delivery nurse – doesn’t she have the best job?!) decided to take dance classes. Her instructor just so happened to be Johnny. We’ll be the first to admit that we don’t know anything about ballroom dancing. But we can only imagine how the sparks started to fly between these two the further they got into their lessons. And as they were preparing for recitals and competitions. As we’re sure you’ve guessed, they started to grow very close, and eventually started to date. Which they kept a secret because, you know, the whole teacher-student thing.

Until they decided to not be a secret anymore. Honestly? We’re not 100% sure how these two kept it under wraps for as long as they did. The chemistry they share will blow you out of a room. Spending even just 5 minutes with these two make us more touchy-feely. The love these two share is just palpable. It’s what makes them, them. It’s so sweet and absolutely beautiful.

So how did they get engaged?

Don’t you worry, Johnny had a great plan. You see, they were performing in their studio’s recital together. Their dance was the very last number of the night. (Now that we think about it Johnny probably planned it that way).  Everyone’s nerves and adrenaline was running. Hailey and Johnny did their dance. And at the end? Johnny got down on one knee with a ring in his hands and asked Hailey to spend the rest of her life with him. In front of all of their friends and family.

Of course she said yes. Fast forward to today, and they’re putting the finishing touches on their wedding. Part of those plans included an engagement session. Which, of course, we had to ask them to break out a few dance moves.

And you guys.

Watching these two dance together? It’s just magical. They’re so graceful and in-tune with each other. They handle each other so gently and support each other so strongly. And we’re 100% sure that’s how they live their life and treat their relationship too. It’s just wonderful.

So meet Hailey and Johnny, friends. We’re so glad it’s finally their day.
