Candid Kauffman Center Engagement Session
One of the most common things couples tell us they want their engagement pictures to be? CANDID. They want them to reflect who they are as a couple. They want them to be relaxed, and fun, and CANDID. Even if they’re planning on dressing up for their photos, they still want them to be CANDID. Well, friends. Get excited. Because we’ve got one of our very favorite candid Kauffman Center engagement sessions coming your way today!

When we first met Kayla and Scott, Kayla couldn’t tell us enough how important photography was to her and Scott. Her wedding and engagement picture? They were THE MOST important thing to them about their wedding. You know, besides getting married. And the thing about those engagement and wedding pictures that was the most important to them? That they were candid.
Yep, it’s true.
So what did Kayla mean by candid engagement pictures? Well, especially because Scott wasn’t looking forward to having photos taken, Kayla wanted them to be informal. Nothing super posey. But lots of moments of the two of them laughing and having fun and playing, especially since that’s just how their relationship is. She wanted their engagement pictures to be a true representation of who she and Scott are.
You guys. Can we tell you just how proud we are of Scott? Because come engagement session day? Even though it felt like 100* outside and the sun was nice and bright, he was all there for their photo session. Especially since he knew how important the photos were to Kayla. During all of our time in the heat at Swope Park, these two lovebirds laughed and played and tickled. Scott kept Kayla laughing and on her toes the whole time….twirling her in the warm sunshine as they danced and whispering sweet nothings into her ear.
And then, after we finished up with some gorgeous greenery at Swope Park, we all headed off to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts to finish Kayla and Scott’s engagement session up. Man, you guys, did these two crank the heat up! They had an absolute BLAST dancing in front of Kauffman during their session, laughing together, and we’re not going to lie, even sharing some super sweet, super romantic moments.
