28 Event Space Dueling Open House

W

What do you get when you combine dueling pianos, a Mardi Gras theme, one of the coolest venues in town, and a wedding vendor dream team? Potentially a lot of confusion. But in this case, you get the 28 Event Space Dueling Open House. Say what? A dueling open house? How does that work? Well, it was essentially two open houses in 1. 28 Event Space held an open house in their classic Kansas City Room. And after their open house? Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos took over the stage and put on one heck of a show.

The Lo-down on the Open House

But, before we get to the dueling pianos, you’ve got to know more about the 28 Event Open House. Have you been to this venue? If you haven’t by now then you most definitely need to arrange a tour. You see, they’ve got 2 amazing venues. The Kansas City Room and The Station. Both are gorgeous in their own aspects. Both have so many neat features. And both are run by the same amazing staff that will always have your back.

Enter the rest of the Open House Vendor Dream Team. Because no joke, it was for real a DREAM TEAM. We always love doing events like this because it gives us a chance to get to work with some new vendors. And this open house was no exception. KP Event Design and Supply Event Rental were in the house to carry out the crazy-cool gorgeous Mardi Gras theme. Kate Smith Soiree and Clever Cakes KC brought their A-game with the macaroon cake, cake pops, and super yummy desserts. AND A GORGEOUS CAKE. Guys. You can’t leave before you see the cake.

Guys. Icon Event Group was there too with their DJs, photo booths, projected monogram and uplighting.  If you’re for real considering doing uplighting at your reception and are on the fence DO IT!! It adds so much fun and life and excitement to your pictures!! And the parties that Ray, Uma and their team know how to throw?! You’re never going to want to leave!

A Dueling Open House?! Yes, please!

The delicious food, late night snacks, and drinks were supplied by Brancato’s Catering and Top Shelf Bartending. The amazing staff at Top Shelf also taught me the proper way to open up a fresh coconut. So, you know, if you ever need a coconut cut open…;)

And did I mention yet that there was late night coffee too? Circle Coffe Company brought the most amazing spiced maple lattes. I may not have slept, but you know I can’t skip good coffee. And to top it all off, Pop Culture Sculptures had so many amazing balloon features and The Magic Hitman did magic tricks all night.

You guys. What a great Open House. When it was all said and done and the “official” business was taken care of, Felix and Fingers took the stage. And what a show! They took requests all night long! And the level of fun this amazing group added to the open house? It was AWESOME!!

It always amazes us that it’s our “job” to show up to events like this, talk to amazing people, and take pictures. We are so, so grateful for every opportunity our amazing community of wedding vendors sends our way, and this open house was no exception. If you’re ever on the fence about touring a venue or meeting with a vendor, find their next open house and go to it. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
