Turquoise Themed Newborn Session | Lucy

We’ve told our wedding clients over and over again that we get pretty attached. And that it’s often so hard when we hand over their wedding albums – only because that’s pretty much the last time we see some of them. Some of them we get to see again when they’re in friends’ weddings, or siblings. Or even to get together for dinner and drinks.

But, our very, very favorite time to see our wedding clients again? When they bring in their brand new babies for newborn photos! Over the years we’ve seen so many families grow and change, and we always love popping back in to see how everyone’s going. We were lucky enough to photograph Lucy’s parents’ wedding, and her aunt and uncle’s wedding. Needless to say we were beyond thrilled when Brian and Kristen brought Lucy in for newborn photos.

Unlike a lot of parents, Brian and Kristen didn’t find out if they were expecting a boy or girl prior to Lucy’s birth. Instead, they decorated her nursery in turquoise and orange with foxes and woodland animals. (It’s so adorable!) Lucy surprised her mom and dad by arriving four weeks early, just after their fifth wedding anniversary – what a present! She was so teeny tiny and beautiful when she arrived in the studio, and slept like a dream!!
