Classic Modern Orlando Wedding | Melanie & Jim
There’s a chance that you might remember Melanie and Jim from their engagement session last fall. Ever since then we’ve been so very excited for their wedding day to roll around. Why? They decided to have a destination wedding in Orlando at a very magical place, and we got to photograph it! :O
We can’t even begin to tell you how much we love it when our couples decide to do something different when it comes to their wedding day. Melanie and Jim knew from the minute they started planning their wedding they wanted something different and unique to them.
It all started with the design of their wedding day monogram. Melanie is an experienced designer, and created the monogram that they used on everything from their save the dates and invitations to their floor runner. The colors she and Jim chose? Robin’s egg blue and silver. They used these colors and theme throughout their entire wedding, right down to the menus at dinner.
When it came time to go dress shopping, Melanie knew that she didn’t want a white gown. What she didn’t tell anyone else (except her mom, sister, and us), is that she chose a brilliant red gown. It was truly something that only she could pull off. Jim wore a white tux, and their bridal party all wore gray. When we arrived at their resort on their wedding day, all of the architecture was white. Melanie and Jim stood out and popped against the background like crazy!
How stunning are these two?! And yes, that is a necklace draped down the center of Melanie’s back. So pretty!! For their unity ceremony during their wedding ceremony, Melanie and Jim performed a hand-binding ceremony.
Everything about their wedding day was so unique. And can’t even begin to tell you how excited Jim was to see his beautiful bride on their wedding day. The love and friendship these two share is one for the storybooks, that’s for sure. And we’re so happy that they now have their own fairytale ending!
