Beautiful Black & White Fall Wedding at The Elms

We met Jennifer and Daniel nearly four years ago now. It seems crazy that it’s been so long since we first said hello! We had the absolute privilege of photographing their beautiful fall wedding at The Elms last fall. Jennifer and Daniel are two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. You can just feel their love for each other when you’re around them and it’s completely infectious. Here’ s just a look into their beautiful, intimate wedding day at The Elms.

Getting ready

Jennifer, her bridesmaids, and their pups got ready in the Truman Suite at The Elms. Did you know The Elms is pet friendly? We are dog lovers, and loved that their best friends got to be involved in their wedding day. Jennifer works for a bridal shop in Independence, which is where she custom-designed her wedding gown. She knew that she wanted something unique and spunky to fit her personality. She completely hit the nail on the head with her gown. And we LOVE the black sash and birdcage veil! While Jennifer and the ladies were getting ready, Daniel and his groomsmen were getting ready in the carriage house.

Ceremony

Since Jennifer and Daniel had a dusk wedding ceremony outside at The Elms’ gazebo, we did a lot of their bridal parties first. Jennifer couldn’t wait to see Daniel, and was so excited to finally walk down the aisle to meet him.

Bridal Party Photos

Jen and Daniel’s bridal party photos happened on The Elms’ back lawn after dark. Despite the bridal party worrying if we could see them, we are so happy with how these images turned out. The fun, unique images fit in perfectly with their overall wedding day.

Reception

Jennifer and Daniel had personal touches worked in throughout their entire wedding day. From Jennifer’s gown, to their handmade flowers and boutonnieres, the card beer box Jennifer’s grandpa made, and the skeleton key seating chart. Their cupcakes were beautiful (and delicious!)! These two lovebirds spent the night dancing and celebrating with their friends and family.

We are so, so, so grateful to Jennifer and Daniel letting us capture their wedding day. Congratulations again!!
