Annie & Jon's Classy Crown Center Wedding
Kyle has known Annie and Jon for years. During their time at William Jewell College Annie played soccer and Jon played baseball. While Kyle was the campus photographer at Jewell he shot all of their games. We were so excited when they asked if we would photograph their classy Crown Center wedding! How could we say no? One of our favorite things about our “job” is getting to follow clients throughout different phases of their lives. With Annie and Jon it is no different.
Getting Ready | The Westin at Crown Center
Annie and Jon chose to have their wedding in September in downtown Kansas City. Both the girls and the guys got ready at The Westin at Crown Center, which, of course we loved! Annie was surrounded by all of her bridesmaids and best friends, and Jon had his groomsmen and dad with him helping him prepare for the big day. Annie and Jon’s fabulous wedding coordinator, Abby from A Wedding Come True, arranged for Annie and Jon to be able to do their private first look at the top of The Westin in their restaurant before it opened for the day. The view is absolutely stunning! As Jon waited for Annie, he started to get a little nervous, but more excited to see his beautiful bride.
After their first look the wedding party took The Westin’s shuttle around Kansas City for a few photos, including a quick stop at The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. After a few quick stops we headed to Our Lady of Sorrows for their ceremony. Annie and Jon held their reception at The American Restaurant in Crown Center overlooking downtown Kansas City and Crown Center. If you’ve never been, you have to make it a point to go. This is one of Kansas City’s most iconic restaurants, and the building and food are killer. The Patrick Lentz Band kept Annie and Jon and their guests dancing well into the night. Congratulations again, Annie and Jon – we’re so happy for you!
